Three Grant Areas Announced
Environment, Arts, Youth and Families will comprise the focus areas for this year's Capacity Building grants.
The Capacity Collaborative will be offering 10 awards to leading Bay Area nonprofits working in theree key sectors. The awards are to be applied to a capacity bulding project.
The funding amount can range from $2,000-$5,000, requires some partial percentage match from the grantee (varies upon the project), and must be executed by the firm, Consulting Within Reach.
To date, almost 20 Capacity Collaborative funded projects have been completed, focusing on topics such as:
- Marketing
- Fundraising
- Social media
- Web development
- Database
Many of the projects have involved analysis work that prepares the organization for a fuller implementation. Award winners are selected on the basis of their importance to their sector and the nature of their proposed project.
